Concert Band Audition Requirements

Woodwinds and Brass:

  • NYSSMA Levels 4-6 or equivalent for all Brass Auditions
  • NYSSMA Levels 5-6 or equivalent for all Woodwind Auditions

Percussion:

  • Snare Drum:
    • Perform orchestra-style roll pp-ff-pp
    • Perform 3 rudiments of choice (refer to NYSSMA manual)
    • Solo
